Fore has supported Doncaster City Council to bring forward business cases for sustainable transport improvements through the Transforming Cities Fund. This has involved the production of business cases that meet the requirements of the South Yorkshire Assurance framework, taking projects from Outline Business Case to Full Business Case in order to be able to draw down the allocated funding. In preparing the business cases Fore has made extensive use of the Active Mode Appraisal Toolkit to assess the economic benefits of the schemes. The commission has required a close working relationship with the Doncaster project managers and design engineers throughout the process so as to meet the funding timescales.
