Fore worked closely with the transport policy team at Leeds City Council to support them in developing an up-to-date transport strategy for Leeds. The Connecting Leeds Transport Strategy sets out LCC’s vision for Leeds to be city where you don’t need a car and everyone has an affordable zero carbon choice in how they travel. The documents is structured according to six big moves which are the priority areas for the strategy:

1. Decarbonising transport

2. Creating healthier streets, places and communities

3. Transform the city centre

4. Enhance public transport

5. New technologies

6. Deliver a mass transit network

Fore’s work involved drafting significant parts of the strategy document and assisting with the consultation on the draft strategy that was undertaken in early early 2021. This consultation identified that the strategy was well received and it was adopted by the Council in October 2021.
