Fore prepared Strategic Outline Business Cases for three major highway improvements in the Tees Valley – a new strategic road crossing of the River Tees, a Northern Bypass for Darlington and a grade separated junction at Elwick on the A19. In all cases, this followed DfT assessment and appraisal processes (including WebTAG) to make the case for investment. The work assisted the new river crossing and Northern Bypass for Darlington obtaining development funding from the Large Local Majors Fund to develop the Outline Business Case. Further work has involved ongoing development of the Outline Business Case documents and liaison with DfT.
