Fore help to obtain planning permission for new Park and Ride (P&R) Site, a key part of Leeds City Council’s transport strategy

OBJECTIVES

  • Fore produced a Transport Assessment for a 1000 space P&R site and Gateway Uses on land to the south of A63 Pontefract Lane, Leeds, demonstrating the impact on local junctions using Junctions 8 software.
  • Working closely with LCC officers, Fore developed scheme designs for new junctions, footways and cycleways to provide connections to the P&R as well as future employment uses in the Aire Valley Enterprise Zone.

OUTCOMES

  • Planning consent was granted in 2014 and construction has begun. The P&R is expected to be fully operational by late 2015.
