OBJECTIVES

• Prepared a Transport Statement (TS) for the redevelopment of the site of The Trumpeter pub to provide apartments and a new local centre including a convenience store, four smaller independent shops and a café bar.
• Advised on car parking and servicing options, undertaking AutoTRACK swept path analysis.

OUTCOMES

• The TS demonstrated that the development would not have a severe impact on the highway network. It also showed that adequate parking would be provided such that parking would not occur on the road, which was a key concern of Derbyshire County Council, as highway authority.
• Planning permission was granted by Chesterfield Borough Council in July 2015.
