Public Sector

Fore has built strong working relationships with a number of public sector clients through our trustworthy, responsive and reliable approach to project delivery.  Below is a list of examples where we have worked in partnership with public sector clients to deliver high quality transport planning advice and cost effective solutions:

  • Masterplanning and highway design as part of Calderdale’s £52 million A629 Phase 2 Halifax Town Centre project, as well as the production of the initial business case (Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council)
  • Air Quality modelling in Wakefield (Wakefield Council)
  • Business case assistance for funding bids in the Tees Valley, including improved access to Eaglescliffe Station, a new junction at Elwick on the A19, a new Tees River Crossing (Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council), and a DfT Access Fund package (Tees Valley Combined Authority)
  • Halifax car parking strategy, in which we looked at existing parking trends using parking machine back-office data and occupancy surveys. This wascoupled with reference to emerging development plans in order to produce a future parking strategy which would support growth but would not undermine Council aspirations for increased uptake of sustainable transport (Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council)
  • Assistance on developing Local Growth Fund programmes, including the provision of guidance to bidding organisations and the appraisal and scoring of applications to assist in developing a balanced and deliverable programme. Examples include Local Growth Fund 2016 Project Appraisal and Prioritisation Support (South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership and Northampton Local Enterprise Partnership) and Blackpool Town Centre Quality Corridors LGF Business Case Appraisal (Lancashire Local Enterprise Partnership).
